Spiderman His Most Interesting Enemies

By Bill Torbon

Spiderman is not the only famous character many fans know. The super villains he meets are also very famous in there own right. These villains are very diverse.

Many of the villains are so popular that they have gotten their own side story to either elaborate on their lives or to show their history on how they became the way they are now. Lets look at some of these villains now.

Dr. Octopus

Dr. Otto Octavius was a respected scientist that had Peter Parker as a student. One of his experiments went terribly wrong and it killed his wife. Dr. Octavius thought that spider-man was at fault and swore his life to defeating him.

Ocatavius has mechanical appendages that he uses to overpower his enemies. These appendages are connected to his spine, so he can control them with his mind.

Scorpion

Mac Gargan, a human at first, went through DNA mutation at the hands of an experiment. What he gained in strength and swiftness, he lost in sanity. During the experiment he had a scorpion suit on. This suit merged with his body and became permanent.

Mysterio

This is not the ordinary super villain. Mysterio uses the skills that he has learned at his job to fight enemies. Mysterio used to work as a special effects expert. His whole image is a mystery. Just looking at his strange suit you will see what I mean.

Venom

This alien symbiote called venom got in contact with spider-man. Peter Parker should have known better then to trust his powers to venom. The name says it all, venom was an parasite to his life. It turned spider-man insane and he had to let venom go.

Venom looks like black liquid that can move around and stick to any human it comes in contact with.

Green Goblin

Norman Osborne experimented with different ways to get power; the result was the Green Goblin. In this process he lost his insanity and blames everything on spiderman.

The Green Goblin has many different weapons, but uses his bombs and flying device the most.

Everybody has their own favorite super villains in the spiderman saga. It is really hard to choose the best super villain because all of them have their own super powers and stories that are very interesting. - 31981

Bat-man Who Is He?

By Bill Torbon

When it comes to criminal behavior in Gotham City, there is only one man who can deal with these knuckleheads and that is Batman. Not only does he try to save his city, he also puts his own life at risk doing it. So who is batman?

Bruce Wayne is Batman, he is an extremely rich man which he has amassed from real estate. He is a strong man who also has weapons and gadgets designed for him. He lives in a big mansion and seems very closed of to the outer world.

Even though the cartoons and movies make him look extraordinary, he is just human and does not have any super powers. He uses his intellect and physical strength to overpower his enemies, not to mention his awesome gadgets.

By looking at his costume you will understand why he is called Batman. Most of his gadgets also support his name.

He also has a sidekick named Robin. Another one of his allies is batwoman.

Many new fans do not know that Batman is quite old, they might know him from the recent cartoons, but Batman has been on the scene since the 1940's. Another super hero that was introduced at that time was Super Man.

Batman fights many bad guys, but the worst of the worst is undoubtedly the Joker. He is a cruel and very scary enemy of batman, who likes to mock everybody. He looks like a clown with his weird make up on, but not a fun loving clown. He looks like a sinister character that is always up to no good.

Batman came on the scene in comic books, way before cartoons or cheesy batman and robin shows that showed words on screen like wack and pow.

There was a time where comic book sales were down the slumps and the chance was almost certain that Batman comic books were going to get cancelled. Good thing he survived.

But Batman survived and has become a famous super hero that has both young and old fans. He has become a household name and expect to see more from him in the near future. - 31981

Ay, Caramba-Bank Checks Featuring The Simpsons

By Alan Plastin

If you are a fan of The Simpsons then you are not alone. The show itself is the longest-running American sitcom, the longest-running American animated program, and the longest running American prime time entertainment series. Millions of dollars of merchandise has been sold all around the world with the Simpson's images and now you can even purchase personal bank checks with the famous family on them.

Matt Groening created The Simpsons for the Fox Broadcasting Company. It was meant to be a parody of the middle-class American lifestyle and the main family members were even based on Groening's own family members. The Simpson family members are Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie. Some of the minor characters, however, have become just as well known as the main characters.

The Simpsons first appeared as shorts on The Tracey Ullman Show on April 19, 1987. It debuted as its own stand alone show on December 17, 1989. Later, it became the first Fox series to get in the Top 30 ratings in a season.

Since making its debut, The Simpsons has won 26 Annie Awards, 24 Primetime Emmy Awards, and on January 14, 2000 the show even secured its own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The series itself revolves around a family that lives in the fictional Mid-Western style town of Springfield. (A specific state is never given, as there are many "Springfields" throughout the United States.) Homer is married to Marge Simpson, a housewife and mother to his three children, Maggie, Bart, and Lisa. Bart is a ten-year-old boy that often gets into trouble; Lisa is a smart eight-year-old; and Maggie is the baby who always has pacifier in tow. The characters never age.

There are also many quirky minor characters that include teachers, co-workers, family members, friends, local celebrities, and other townspeople.

Quite a bit of merchandise exists for the show. You can find everything from board games like Operation, Monopoly, and Clue featuring the Simpsons to posters, coffee mugs, and T-shirts. When the movie was released, twelve 7-Eleven stores were turned into Kwik-E-Marts, a popular destination in the series, as part of the promotional efforts.

You don't have to find a Kwik-E-Mart to show your loyalty if you are a fan, however. You can just carry the family around in your wallet.

If you decide to purchase The Simpson's checks, you can bring all the comedy to your own life every time you take out your check book and write out a check. The checks, which come in various designs, contain Bart, Homer, Lisa, and Marge & Maggie. They also come in four different rotating designs. You can also purchase return address labels and a matching checkbook cover to coordinate with your new Simpsons checks.

The checks, which unfortunately only have the main Simpson family members, feature each character in a varying pose. In one series, Bart is looking up at the tops of the check giving a thumbs-up. A skateboard and the words "Looking fabulous" are written on this check.

Homer's check shows him up close with his favorite donut and the words: "Donuts...is there anything they can't do?" Lisa's check, on the other hand, states, "The truth must be told." Her check also contains a picture of a saxophone. Maggie and Marge are on the fourth check with the words "The extra ingredient is care."

If you want to save money on your checks, try buying them online and don't go to your local bank. You can save as much as 50% off the cost that your bank might have charged you if you try a safe website. In addition, you will have a variety of designs to pick from and your new checks will arrive in about 5-7 days. - 31981

How Ben Became A Super Hero

By Chris Heltin

Ben 10 is a cartoon that started airing in 2005 and has been widely popular with kids and teens. Because the cartoon was an instant hit with the younger crowd, the producers created a couple of more installments to keep the fans happy.

The new series is called Evolution. The whole mood of this installment is more dark and more serious. Ben is the super hero of the show, but how did he become one in the first place?

After a long and boring semester at school, it is finally time to go home. Ben, his grandpa, and Gwen decide to go on a camping trip. But he is kind of irritated that Gwen had to come along the way.

On their first night at camp Ben was walking around and there was a crash landing nearby. He heard the loud noise and wanted to see what was going on. Upon close inspection he saw a foreign item in the middle of the crash landing. He went close to it and it popped open.

The next thing that happened was that something jumped at Ben his arm which took him by surprise. It transformed into a watch. The watch is no ordinary one as it was stuck to him and can do more then tell the time.

Normal people would freak out and try to do everything to get it off. Ben tries to get rid of it but nothing works. While messing with it he accidentally turned it on and transformed into a big fire alien character. He is surprised at first and starts to play around with his new found powers.

The watch, called the Omnitrix, gives Ben the ability to change into an alien superhero. What is cool is that he is able to retain himself and only his physical appearance and skills change. But he cannot retain this form for a long time.

Another cool feature of the Omnitrix is that it can absorb DNA of any alien life force it comes into contact with and add it to its selection for Ben to choose. If Ben is in a bind he can try out the new super hero powers he has acquired. Every kid on the planet would want such a watch. - 31981

By Bobty Nies

Naruto is a long standing anime that is still going on. The show is popular, because of the story and the different battles that take place. But did you know that Naruto is a great character to look up to? You might dismiss this as you hear it, because Naruto seems like a bumbling fool who always makes mistakes, but you have to look deeper than that.

In the first episodes you learn that Naruto is a loud mouth who always causes trouble and is hated by the town. Later on you will learn why Naruto always tries to stand out, but most important of all you will see that he is deeper than the first impression makes you believe. He has a dark secret but still a big heart that makes people respect him.

Uzumaki is the underdog in the beginning of the show, this changes later on as people notice that there is more to him than his goofy personality, because when it comes down to business he will use everything in his power to defeat his enemies.

Mental growth plays a huge role in Naruto his confidence. Growing up being shunned, because he has the nine tailed fox in him made him stronger, not weaker. Instead of getting angry at the situation he behaved in a way to draw attention to people around him. His personality is clumsy and bubbly. This makes people see him as a good guy.

When Naruto gets into a bad situation where it seems like he does not have the upper hand, he quickly tries to analyze the situation and make the right decisions with his abilities. He usually ends up surprising even his enemies who underestimated him.

Naruto his dark side is the nine tailed fox. When this side comes out it completely changes Naruto into the fox, even his personality changes and is so aggressive that he even will attack his own friends we he holds so dearly close to him.

Naruto lives a very humble life. His story is really a story from rags to riches in the sense that in the beginning nobody respected him and throughout the years people started to like him and even look up to him.

Naruto also has a huge problem with understanding basic things that everybody around him already knows, this adds to the comedy factor. But he also tries his best to learn. This is a good trait to have, never give up if things look hard. The next time you watch the show you should take a closer look at Naruto and what drives him to do what he does and you will see why he is the best role model in the cartoon. - 31981

Be One Cool Cat with Garfield Personal Checks

By Alan Plastin

Like Garfield, do you dread Monday mornings? Does taking out your checkbook give you anxiety? Well, if you're a fan of the lovable, and sometimes surly, big orange cat then carrying Garfield checks will always give you a smile when you take out that checkbook. Plus, it's not as expensive as you might think, not thanks to the Internet.

Created by Jim Davis in 1978, Garfield is a comic strip that chronicles the life and times of Garfield, his owner Jon, and Jon's dog Odie. It is also the world's most syndicated comic strip, according to the Guinness Book of World Records. People all over the world know Garfield and his antics.

Some of the things that the comic strip focuses on are Garfield's repulsion to diets, his lethargy, his love of all things food, and his detestation of Mondays. Since the comic strip is not political in nature, but rather focuses on the humor of daily life, both children and adults are able to enjoy his antics.

Jon, Garfield and Odie's owner, is a geeky but good-hearted man. According to Garfield, he has questionable taste in fashion and eccentric habits, such as watching polka ninja movies and collecting stamps. Jon's failure of being able to find a date is one of the comic strip's long running jokes.

Odie is an amiable yellow dog that is mostly shown to be naive, but endearing. However, his naivete could be an act since sometimes when Jon and Garfield are gone Odie can be seen watching educational programs on television and reading. Although Garfield usually gets the better of Odie, the two do seem to share a friendship with one another.

Today, if you're a fan of Garfield and Company, then you can purchase Garfield personal bank checks at a fraction of the cost that you might have paid at your bank by ordering online. When you use a reputable site you can save as much as 50% off the cost that you might have paid in the past. Plus, you will have a larger multitude of checks to select from, too.

The Garfield checks are endearing and light-hearted, just like the comic strip. You can even purchase coordinating address labels and a matching checkbook cover to go with them in order to complete your Garfield collection. Every time you write a Garfield check, you won't help but smile-even if your finances are no laughing matter.

Purchasing checks online is easy and fast and takes the chore out of going to your local bank. You just need to have your routing number and checking account number on hand to get started.
