Go Pink with Pink Panther Checks

By Alan Plastin

Are you a fan of the Pink Panther? Are you tired of your uninspired, plain, personal bank checks? Did you know that if you order your Pink Panther checks online you can save as much as 50% off of what your bank might have charged you? The Pink Panther is a classic icon that is instantly recognizable to everyone and can definitely give your otherwise ordinary bank checks a boost.

Although the Pink Panther is known on his own, he was initially a character shown during the opening and closing credits of the 1963 live-action film. Once his popularity grew, he received his own shows. He has been featured in 124 shorts, 10 television shows, and 3 television specials. You can still catch his cartoons today, both on television and on his DVDs. Those viewers that weren't even around in the 1960s know the Pink Panther and the jazzy music that goes along with his frolics.

Originally, the Pink Panther was a silent character that hardly ever spoke in his short films. Over time, however, he got a voice that was fashioned after the voice of actor David Niven who played the jewel thief in the original live-action movie. All of the Pink Panther cartoons contained a jazz-like soundtrack that was composed by Henry Mancini for the original movie.

By the 1960's, there wasn't a lot going on in the way of animation. This actually helped the Pink Panther gain popularity because the creators of the cartoon developed their own technique and look and didn't rely on the Warner Brothers' cartoons or Disney for their motivation. Bizarre themes and imagery were used and the style itself took a cue from the silent Charlie Chaplin movies of the past. Due to this, the Pink Panther was one of 1960's most important cartoons.

The stories themselves are enduring and still relevant today since the Pink Panther cartoon didn't rely as greatly on pop culture references as other cartoons like The Flintstones. If you are a fan of the Pink Panther and are considering purchasing new bank checks that are retro and ageless, then it's a great way to show a part of your personality.

The Pink Panther checks series contains 4 rotating images. All of the images show the Pink Panther in a distinctive pose including a reclining position, one of him sneaking around mysteriously, and one of him off to seek new adventures. If you truly desire to coordinate your checks, you can also find matching contact cards, address labels, and even a pink leather checkbook cover to go along with your checks.

These days, by purchasing your checks from a safe website, you can save as much as 50% off of the price that you might have paid at your bank. Just keep your routing number and checking account number handy when ordering. In addition to saving money, you will have a larger selection of checks to select from. It normally takes around 3-5 days for the checks to come in the mail to you. - 31981

Oh, Bother! Winnie the Pooh Personal Checks

By Alan Plastin

Both children and adults have been enjoying the adventures of Winnie the Pooh, along with his good friends Eyeore, Rabbit, Owl, Kanga, Roo, Piglet, and Christopher Robin, for more than 70 years now. A couple of different generations have gotten to know the wonderment of the Hundred Acre Wood and the adventures that it can bring. If you love Pooh and Company and would like something different for your personal checks, then you might want to consider purchasing Winnie the Pooh checks.

Winnie the Pooh was created by AA Milne and first gained popularity in 1926 in the book Winnie-the Pooh. (The House at Pooh Corner followed it in 1928.) Actually, Pooh was first introduced in a poem in 1924. When it was translated into Latin, it became the first foreign language book to ever be on the New York Times Bestseller List. That was in 1960.

There really was a Christopher Robin and a real Winnie the Pooh. Christopher Robin was Milne's son and Pooh was his real teddy bear's name. Christopher also named the other characters, except for Owl and Rabbit who were added later by Disney.

In addition, the Hundred Acre Wood is also based on a real place. It was based on AA Milne's home in Ashdown Forest, located in East Sussex, England. The name "Hundred Acre Wood" probably derives from the nearby Five Hundred Acre Wood which has some of the same places that are referenced in the stories.

There are several types of Winnie the Pooh checks available. One popular series contains 4 checks with a different image on each one. The first one shows Pooh alone, the second one shows Pooh and Eyeore, the third one shows Pooh and Tigger, and the last one features Pooh and Piglet. A matching checkbook cover can be purchased with the checks that has "Pooh" written across the front in large, colorful letters against a yellow background with daisies.

An additional trendy series illustrates fanciful images of Winnie the Pooh with his best friends from the Hundred Acre Woods. Pooh, Piglet, Tigger and Eeyore are all present on these checks too, though the colors are more subdued.

Lastly, you can also purchase Classic Winnie the Pooh checks. These feature the original depictions of Pooh and Company. These checks also show Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore and Tigger but Christopher Robin is included as well. If you want something with a more vintage look, then these might be the checks for you.

You can generally get coordinating checkbook covers, address labels, and contact cards to match your checks.

If you would like to save money on your checks then you should consider ordering them online. Not only are they convenient, but you can also save as much as 50% off the cost that you ordinarily would have spent at your local bank. In addition, by ordering from a reputable site, you have access to hundreds of different designs so you don't have to worry about them not having the images that you were looking for. - 31981
